My heart is filled with gratitude and love to God for the many blessings that have come into my life through the study of Christian Science.

In the spring of 1917, while in California, I felt in need of help, and when every material aid had failed me, I turned to Christian Science. At that time I was filled with fear, anxiety, self-pity, unhappiness, unrest, and discontent to such an extent that I was fearful and unhappy over everything I did, as well as over everything I failed to do. At the same time I was suffering so intensely with neuritis that I was unable to rest or sleep.

I began to study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with an earnest longing to understand it; and I was completely healed of neuritis in a few months, just through the study of the "little book."
