I can never be grateful enough for the wonderful help...

I can never be grateful enough for the wonderful help I have received from Christian Science in my school work.

When I was sixteen the question arose as to whether I could take the matriculation examination or not. I say "could," because at that time I thought I was an utter failure and stupid at many of my subjects. Mathematics I simply could not understand. The mistresses at school could give me no hope that I would even get near a passing standard. At the beginning of that school year I had a talk with a loving practitioner. I had been a student of Christian Science for about two years and a pupil in the Sunday school, and Christian Science had always solved my physical troubles; but I did not understand how to apply it to my lessons.

The practitioner encouraged and helped me greatly. I began to feel hopeful again with the thought that God, Mind, is the only intelligence, and that man reflects this intelligence; also that nothing can obstruct this reflection, because God and His idea are inseparable. The practitioner also told me just to go on quietly correcting my own thought and not to be afraid, even though the fear that I should not pass was expressed around me by the mistresses and girls. The practitioner said she would be very willing to help me whenever necessary.
