With a grateful heart I wish to testify to a healing which I experienced in Christian Science. At Christmas time in 1920, I was taken seriously ill with the grippe. As I was afraid I could not overcome this difficulty alone, I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, which was lovingly given. I live in a home together with many others, and several of the inmates, as well as the matron, feared the worst; so the latter sent for a physician, who came after I had had Christian Science treatment. He examined me and ascertained that I had been suffering from the grippe and pneumonia, but that both had left me. He wished to prescribe some strengthening remedies! But I did not need them, for I knew that God is my power and strength. Since then I have been hale and hearty; and in spite of my sixty-nine years am able to earn part of my living by a handicraft.

For this wonderful and quick healing I am most grateful to God. I am also sincerely grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has given us Christian Science.
