It is a joy for me to give my testimony for the many blessings Christian Science has brought to me.

Years ago, through a sad experience I suffered from a sense of injustice, and could not believe in a God who was supposed to have sent or allowed such suffering. I had been reading all sorts of books on different religions to see if there was a God, as I did not believe any more in what I had been taught about Him. It was then a friend spoke to me of Christian Science, and asked me to buy "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I bought it to get rid of my friend's importunities, little knowing how grateful I should be to her later. The book was so different from what I had been taught since childhood that I did not understand it at first. But I persevered, and read it five times in succession, each time understanding a little more as the veil of materiality became thinner. Then I knew I had found what I had been looking for, not mere physical healing, but a better understanding of God. For that I was very grateful.

Later on, through the loving work of a practitioner, my daughter and I experienced beautiful healings. I was healed of a severe attack of so-called Spanish influenza; also of bronchitis, which was overcome in three days. Before I knew of Christian Science it would take me weeks to recover from such a difficulty. Through my own application of what I know of Science I have been healed of sore throat and many minor ailments.
