I was walking home one day with a neighbor, who noticed that I was in great need of help. I was suffering and could hardly reach home. She told me about Christian Science and all it had done for her, and said I could procure a book on the subject called "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy from the public library. This I did, as I had thought for a long time that God could heal us to-day as in olden times if we but knew the way. I became very much interested in reading this book; and when I had finished it, I was completely healed of tuberculosis. Three doctors had given me up with this disease.

Is it any wonder that I am grateful for this truth, which I know does heal all our sorrow and sickness and sin? It is twenty years since I had my first healing, and Christian Science has met every need since that time. I want to express gratitude for our Sunday schools, Reading Rooms, literature, church services, lectures, and also for the privilege of class instruction. I am thankful to God, the Giver of all good; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; also to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
