Introductions to Lectures

Manchester, England (Fourth Church).

Lecturer: William D. Kilpatrick; introduced by Alec B. Murray, who said:—

It was through attending a lecture on Christian Science, such as the one you will hear to-day, that I first became interested in the subject; and I know that the many blessings which have come into my life as a consequence may be yours also. As a result of the interest aroused aroused at that lecture, I went to a Christian Science Reading Room and borrowed the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and in a very short time, through the study and application of its teachings, I was entirely healed of two physical conditions which had been pronounced incurable by medical science—one, valvular disease of the heart, for which I had been unsuccessfully treated for nearly twelve months in different hospitals, and the other, defective vision, for which I had worn glasses nearly fourteen years, two eminent specialists having said I should always need to wear them. This occurred six years ago.
