Christian Science has healed me of many difficulties

Christian Science has healed me of many difficulties. As the nothingness of each was revealed and I gained the realization that God never leaves us but is "a very present help in trouble," I began to know that, as Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." This new experience, with its joy and peace coupled with new opportunities, displaced the old life with its many troubles. Now every problem is being proved an aid to greater growth and understanding. The element of fear, which once seemed to dominate almost everything I endeavored to do, is seen for what it is, or rather for what it is not. Now I know that God's child can go forth each day with courage to do whatever it is right for him to do. I soon learned that our protection is in proportion to our right thinking; for, as Mrs. Eddy tells us in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 210), "Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort." I am grateful for the friend who sent me to a Christian Science practitioner, and for the healing which followed.

For over two years I had been doctoring for stomach trouble. The family doctor had me on a diet, and in following his advice I had to think of the things I should not eat as well as the things I was instructed to eat, reversing the instructions of the Master, who said, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat." Christian Science soon corrected this; and since 1914, dieting, medicine, and such things have not been used. I have depended on Christian Science for every need.—
