As a thanksgiving offering to Mary Baker Eddy for her consecration of thought in search for the truth and the revelation that she has given to the world through the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I wish to give my testimony to the efficacy of her work for mankind.

June 10, 1906, the date of the dedication of the extension of The Mother Church, I have always thought one of the most momentous days in human history. The promise reads, "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them;" and that day in Boston many thousands of grateful seekers and finders of the truth were gathered together in His name. The spiritual impetus that has radiated from that gathering has blessed countless thousands.

It was the date of my own new birth, as that day I accepted the teachings of Christian Science. The evening previous I had asked a neighbor who was a Christian Scientist for a treatment for indigestion and an irritation of the skin from which I had suffered for several years. Upon awakening in the morning I realized I was healed; and with joy I went to my neighbor with the good news. She had had a sense of disappointment because she had not been able to attend the dedicatory services; but she had prayed earnestly that, as Mrs. Eddy says (Poems, p. 13), she too might have
