Among the Churches

Current Notes

New York Herald Tribune

New York, New York (Fourteenth Church).—Fourteenth Church of Christ, Scientist, has bought the two threestory dwellings at 553 and 555 West One Hundred and Forty-first Street, just east of Broadway, fifty by one hundred feet. The organization plans remodeling the buildings into a permanent church home, with a seating capacity of about five hundred. A tentative plan is to remove the center partition wall from the first to the third stories, to construct two balconies, and to place steel girders at the side walls for the support of the balconies and the roof. The church now conducts services at 448 West One Hundred and Fifty-second Street.—New York Herald Tribune.
