It is with great gratitude, and the hope that it may be of help to some student who is weary, heavy-laden, and discouraged because of slow healing, that I give this testimony.
I took up the study of Christian Science for the healing of a fibroid tumor, a growth of twelve years. It was three years and a half after I began this study before my complete healing was manifested. During this time I had been under Christian Science treatment at intervals, and I was having treatment from a practitioner at the time of the healing. I had also been gathering beautiful truths through the study of the Bible and of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and other authorized Christian Science literature. During this period of study and prayer I often studied the entire lesson three times a day.
The most acute nervous neuralgic headaches, from which I had suffered greatly, and which had become so severe that I was obliged to be in bed about half of every month, just slipped away; also sciatic rheumatism, a chronic bowel trouble from which I had suffered for years, and a great sense of discouragement. The healing of the tumor seemingly was slow, but divinely beautiful. The outward appearance vanished in a night, without pain or any material evidence whatever. When I wakened in the morning I was free, and went about my Father's business as usual. I was lifted quickly from great depression to radiant joy, such joy as seemed too good to be true. I am so well, so happy, and so thankful to my Father-Mother God for all these healings.
