[Written for the Sentinel]

"Behold, now is the day of salvation"

TURN thee more gladly to the light,
The glory spreads so wide and free.
Turn no more to the anxious night,—
Its fears are not for thee.

Distrust no more thy brother's ways,
Truth lifts from him the mortal ban.
Behold! he stands now in Love's rays.
Then love God's perfect man.

God's promises are all for thee.
Fear not that thou art cast aside.
For His own children faithfully
He can, and does, provide.

Clearer to-day the "still small voice"!
More clearly Truth is understood.
Now is the moment to rejoice
For ever present good.
