The Lectures

Brisbane, Australia (First Church).—Introducing John W. Doorly, a Christian Science lecturer, to his audience, Miss Edith Lily Thomson spoke as follows:—

Christian Science teaches us of the ever-presence of God,—of the ever-presence of that divine Love which Jesus taught us is always at hand to sustain and maintain us under all circumstances and at all times. I know from my own experience of the healing power of Christian Science. For more than ten years it has been my only physician. Until I took up the study of Christian Science I was continually visiting the doctor. Christian Science teaches of the tender love of God for His children and the power of divine Truth to heal sickness and sin, her and now. It is not some mysterious knowledge hard to understand and to be used only at some future time or in some future state.
