There is no connection whatever between Christian Science and Coueism. Christian Science teaches reliance on the one divine Mind, God; whereas systems of mental suggestion are based on the so-called human or carnal mind, which, as Paul says, is "enmity against God."

Christian Science teaches that the seeming origin of disease is in the carnal mind, and that disease is healed by divine Mind, or, in other words, by an intelligent application of the truth of spiritual being to the specific need. This, as will be readily seen, is a very different thing from saying that disease is imaginary, and then ignoring it. Christian Science dispels ignorance by means of a scientific knowledge of God, and of spiritual man, made in God's image and likeness.
