Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication for the Year Ended September 30, 1923

For the State of Rhode Island.

Your Committee took a correction which he had prepared, covering a misstatement appearing in the press, to the editor, who received him cordially, and after spending at least ten minuted in minutely reading the article, turned to your Committee and said: "It that Christian Science? If so, then I have been much mistaken. But of course we could not use this article in our paper, as our paper is strictly propaganda for our church. I will, however, mention in my editorial page in my next issue your exception to the article in question and your statement that my conclusions were not correct." This he did, and the purpose of your Committee was attained, so far as that particular publication was concerned.
