Before coming into Christian Science I had suffered from...
Before coming into Christian Science I had suffered from malaria for sixteen years. I tried everything, even a change of climate; but each year grew worse, finally becoming despondent and a nervous wreck. I was never free from pain in my head, which became so bad that there was a roaring and popping in my head continually; and it seemed at times as if I could not stand it. One night I attended a Christian Science lecture and was greatly impressed, although I caught only a very slight glimpse of the truth. I began reading the literature, and felt that if others had been healed I could be. I went to see a practitioner, and was completely healed of the trouble in my head; also of chronic constipation. I became very much interested, and wanted to know more about this beautiful truth; and as I continued to study, many discordant conditions were overcome.
To say that I am grateful does not half express my gratitude. Not a day passes that I am not grateful for Christian Science. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, to the loving practitioners, and to every one who has helped me to gain this understanding. My daily prayer is that I may learn to express more of this truth.
