Christian Science teaches that God and His laws are unchanging and changeless; but it also goes farther, and is teaching its students to demonstrate the truth of this statement by healing all manner of sickness and all manner of discord. Therefore Christian Science is consistent, as it proves the power of God in healing the sick and overcoming sin. It proves that God is unchanging and His law unchangeable not only in one case, but in all cases, applying and demonstrating that law in overcoming all the ills of the flesh. This being true, sickness must yield to the power of God; and the proven fact is that Christian Science does heal, and is continually demonstrating God's presence and power, even as Christ Jesus said "them that believe" should do. Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 44): "The remedial power of Christian Science is positive, and its application direct. It cannot fail to heal in every case of disease, when conducted by one who understands this Science sufficiently to demonstrate its highest possibilities."
