Christian Science has nothing in common with autosuggestion, which is the effort of the human mind to assert itself. Christian Science turns completely from the seeming effect of the human or carnal mind, which is "enmity against God," and consequently harmful and evil, to divine Mind, infinite Love, the only creator, God, "who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies." There is nothing harmful or dangerous in relying fully on this promise. "The Bible," Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 406), "contains the recipe for all healing."
