Christian Science claims no connection whatever with the so-called "power of suggestion," and can never rightly be classified with it, or with any other system or theory based upon the domination or manipulation of one mortal or human mind by another so-called mind. Its healing power is based wholly upon the operation of divine Mind. As stated by Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, "The effect of this Science is to stir the human mind to a change of base, on which it may yield to the harmony of the divine Mind" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 162). Through the operation of this divine Mind, and not the human will, thousands have been healed of all manner of diseases, whether considered incurable or otherwise. Neither does Christian Science claim disease to be imaginary. In the same book (p. 460) the author has also written: "Sickness is neither imaginary nor unreal,—that is, to the frightened, false sense of the patient. Sickness is more than fancy; it is solid conviction. It is therefore to be dealt with through right apprehension of the truth of being." Those who read Christian Science literature with a sincere desire to learn the truths it teaches about God and His creation do not find it "mystifying or high-brow," but gain through their study a sense of peace and harmony. The very nature of God is love and peace; and one cannot honestly seek a knowledge of Him without being benefited thereby.

The fields shall laugh again, all tongues shall sing, And heaven itself rejoice in earth's new blossoming.
