Nearly four years ago Christian Science literature was lent to me, and after reading it I was convinced Christian Science was the truth which I had been reaching out for. Since then Christian Science has been our only physician in a family of seven. "Truth is revealed. It needs only to be practised," Mrs. Eddy tells us in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 174). It saved our eldest boy from the surgeon's knife. Christian Science treatment has proved efficacious in croup, colds, and fever, including diphtheria and pneumonia.
I should like to relate a demonstration with our youngest child. According to medical diagnosis there was every symptom of scarlet fever, but the trouble was overcome in a few hours with the help of a practitioner. A few years before we became interested in Christian Science, another child with the same illness was sick for over eleven weeks under medical treatment.
I am grateful for class instruction; for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; also for the privilege of assisting in the Sunday school; and ever thankful to our God, who is good; to Christ Jesus, the Wayshower; and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who gave to posterity the textbook on Christian Science.
