I am sending this testimony with the thought that it will help and encourage any one who reads it who is seeking the truth. I first heard of Christian Science through a neighbor, who was healed of tuberculosis of the hip. After telling me of this healing, she asked if I would read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker

Eddy. She then gave me a copy of the textbook; and although I read but a small portion of it, I never forgot it.

Two years after this, I became very ill with what the physicians called too much acid in my blood. I had been sick so long, I was without hope and had no God. I was then asked by a very kind friend why I did not try Christian Science. She told me that God could heal me, and I promised her I would ask for help. This I did, but more to please her than myself. I went to see a Christian Science practitioner whom I had always admired, because she seemed so different from other people. I asked her questions about God; and she told me that God is Love and that He does not cause His children to be sick and sinful. She also said that God is Mind. This I could see was such a wonderful new way to think of God; and in talking with her I was instantaneously healed.
