For the many blessings which are mine through the aid of Christian Science, I am deeply grateful. It was not the desire for physical healing which interested me in Christian Science. It was the divine Principle, Love and Truth, revealed therein which awakened me. Religion never had played any part in my life, nor could I fathom its doctrines; but the realization that God is Love, and the opportunity to live and practice this wonderful truth, brought about many physical healings. Until this time I had suffered from many physical ailments; and then the light of Christian Science, by removing the shadow, showed me how to be well.
For sixteen years I had felt the necessity of wearing glasses, but in Christian Science this was overcome; and now my sight is better than it ever was. I was healed of chronic grippe, of tonsillitis, and also of a complete nervous breakdown. I had suffered from gallstones; and the medical profession expressed its opinion that I could not be healed or saved from death excepting by undergoing an operation.
However, through the operation of divine Love this condition was completely overcome; and for a period of four years I have been entirely free.
