I consider it my duty to testify with a grateful heart to the power of Truth and of God's ever present love. For years I had been a sufferer from stomach and liver trouble. Formerly I was under the medical care of the insurance doctor, but his efforts brought no relief. I thereupon consulted three other doctors, and was advised to undergo an operation. I had, however, no inclination to do this. Later on, through a friend, I heard of Christian Science for the first time. I at once wrote to a Christian Science practitioner asking for treatment, which was lovingly given. I also received verbal explanations, through which I gained a higher and clearer concept of God, and of man created in His image and likeness. My healing progressed rapidly, and in a short time I was free from all suffering and trouble. I have remained hale and hearty ever since. My greatest desire is to gain a greater understanding of Truth and to lead a life more and more in conformity with this beautiful teaching of the Christ, Truth.

I am grateful for the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which has made clear the meaning of so many Bible passages which formerly were incomprehensible. I thank God, our heavenly Father, and all those who have shown me the way as revealed in Christian Science. Filled with love and gratitude, my thoughts turn to the woman whose heart was so inspired by courage, and who gave proof of so much selfless love that she could again lead us to Truth.—(Mrs.) Wilhelmine Hellwig, Uftrungen a. Harz, Germany.
