I can never be grateful enough for Christian Science
I can never be grateful enough for Christian Science. It came to me nearly three years ago at a time when everything seemed very black. I was in great trouble, and had also for four years been practically an invalid. I had always been very delicate and suffered from an internal disorder, which the doctors told me was congenital. This condition became worse as I grew older, and I was operated on five times, four of these operations being major ones. In the end I was no better, and the doctors said nothing more could be done for me.
I was trying to become reconciled to being an invalid for the rest of my life, when I heard of Christian Science through my sister, who had shortly before this become interested in it. I did not know anything at all about Christian Science, but was willing to try it as a last resource. A friend of my sister's, a Scientist, kindly took me to see a practitioner, and I was healed instantaneously, in one treatment, of the trouble I had had for so many years. The practitioner told me I should have to stop taking medicine, and I did so. In a few days I left off wearing a heavy surgical support, which the different specialists I had been to said I must wear all my life. During my first reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was able to leave off wearing glasses, and was completely cured of defective eyesight. I was also healed of hemorrhoids, rheumatism, sore throat, and other ailments during my study of this book. Christian Science is teaching me how to overcome fear, worry, and discouragement.
I am so grateful to God for these healings, and to Mrs. Eddy, who has taught us the way to know and realize God's loving presence and to love our fellow-men. I am very grateful to all those Scientists who have so lovingly helped me, and to the practitioners who, through their clear realization of the truth, have helped to heal me physically, and have enabled me to see, even though dimly as yet, my heritage as a child of God. I can only offer my heartfelt thanks.
