The Lectures

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Second Church).—The following remarks were made by Mrs. Ida May Rawsthorne, introducing John W. Doorly, a Christian Science lecturer, to his audience:—

In these days of "isms" and "ologies" and scientific research for the origin of life, the Christian Scientist stands unmoved and undisturbed. Why? Because Christian Science gives all power and presence to God, recognizing and acknowledging Him to be the only source of life and giving good only to His children. I have found, by practical experience, that this understanding of God, as given in Christian Science, is able to heal and save; and in the past thirteen years there has been no mist, whether it called itself physical or otherwise, that has not been cleared away by the application of this truth about God and His creation.

St. Louis, Missouri (Third Church).—Introducing William W. Porter, a Christian Science lecturer, to his audience, Reinhold Julius Tietze made the following remarks:—
