For thirteen years we have relied entirely upon Christian Science for all healing,—physical, mental, financial. We have four children, two of whom were born previous to the time we began the study of Christian Scince. With the birth of the first child, one of the best physicians in St. Louis was in attendance. I suffered for thirty-five hours, and was in bed almost four weeks after the birth. When the last child was born, the attending physician laid down all the laws for me that had accompanied the birth of the first, but with a Christian Science practitioner knowing for me that I was under the law of God, the little fellow was here in two hours in spite of the physician's statements, which had caused me to cry with fear. This was wonderful to me, as I had not been able to realize before that childbirth could be painless.

I should like to tell of a demonstration over contagion, where fear was again overcome. In March, 1921, our daughter, then fourteen, was taken ill with a chilling sensation and aching. We put her to bed, and next morning found her breaking out with red splotches. Fear crept in, as there had been several cases of scarlet fever near us, and some friends had lost their little boy, although attended by the best physicians and several trained nurses. I called for help in Science; and the practitioner worked for the child, with the result that in one week she was well. Her elder sister was also ill. Their throats seemed very sore; but by the time the elder girl was taken ill, all fear had been destroyed. We fed her with a spoon on Tuesday, and on Saturday of the same week she, too, was well. This proved, as many times before, that when we banished fear the case was healed. We have also proved this to be true in the case of lack.

I am so thankful that Mrs. Eddy had the courage to withstand the criticisms of her day and place this loving truth in the hands of millions. I hope these few words may be the means of helping others, as other testimonies have helped me.
