David of old sang in one of his psalms, "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me;" and centuries later Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Christian Science has begun the fulfilling of these words in my life.

Christian Science has healed me of ptomaine poisoning. I was relieved of all pain instantaneously after applying to a Christian Scientist for help; and the other symptoms disappeared within a few hours, and I enjoyed a good meal. I was also healed of the results of a severe accident to my wrist when cranking a motor car. Without any mental argument, just through a peaceful resting in the understanding of the one divine Love, the displacement or dislocation was put right in a few minutes, without manipulation. A slight swelling subsided in due course; there was practically no discoloration; and I could use a tennis racket normally at the end of a week.

Christian Science also enabled me to find congenial and progressive work when things never looked blacker for me; for my resources were apparently at an end. Being forced to acknowledge my own inability and my utter dependence on God proved to be my salvation. However, what I am most grateful for is that in Christian Science I have found the key to the secret of life.

I am learning that God is the only Life, and that real existence is in Him; consequently, that Life is forever perfect and intact. Even the slight understanding of this is so transforming my outlook that I know I need not fear for the future, but that I can leave everything in God's loving care. This understanding I find also relegates to their rightful places and perspective all the different departments of life,—learning, culture, art, and the art of living. To understand Life as God is to understand perfect divine Principle; and each day gives "more abundantly," according to our understanding of it.

I have been studying Christian Science for seven years, during the first three of which I had the privilege of Sunday school instruction; and I cannot be too grateful to God and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the great revelation of Christian Science. For Mrs. Eddy's published works I am particularly grateful, as they so clearly set forth the rules for right thinking and acting.
