The Christianity practiced, preached, and taught by Christ Jesus was not one of faith only, but of works, as evidenced by the healing of the sick, the reforming of the sinner, and various other manifestations of spiritual power. John, in the fourteenth chapter of his gospel, records our Master as saying, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, rediscovered the spiritual law which underlay the works of our Master; and now, to-day, through the study of the Bible in conjunction with the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the performance of these works has again been rendered possible. Christian Science has nothing in common with spiritualism or theosophy, nor with any system which endeavors to cure disease through the agency of the human mind. The method of Christian Science can be demonstrated only in proportion as one gains the Mind of Christ.
