It is about seven years since I took up the study of Christian Science. During that time I have experienced many, many blessings in the line of physical healing, as well as otherwise; and it is with much gratitude to all those who have helped me, and for the good of those fellow-beings who may be benefited by it, that I write this testimony.

From about the time I was old enough to think or reason for myself, I began to wonder why certain conditions and circumstances, seemingly beyond our control, should come into our lives, and to think there must be a Principle which, if understood and applied, would solve all our problems. When Christian Science was presented to me, I immediately accepted it as being what I had been looking for.

Through Christian Science several minor healings took place in our home, and things were going along smoothly for a time, when our little boy was quite suddenly taken violently ill. This proved to be the testing time for me. I called a practitioner; but after the second treatment the child was no better. My husband and others in our home had no faith whatever in Christian Science; and as I was only a beginner, with hardly any understanding at all, we decided to call in a physician. The child got no better; but rather grew worse, until it seemed he was struggling with the "last enemy." This had continued about ten days, when I came to the conclusion that I was simply being led astray. I therefore determined to turn away from materia medica right then for all time; and I am happy to say I have never regretted it. I called a Christian Science practitioner that evening; and in two hours the child was free from fever and was up and dressed. Although he had been unable to eat anything for several days, as his mouth and throat were ulcerated, after the treatment he ate heartily, and slept well all that night. The next morning I called the practitioner again, and the healing was completed. This experience has been helpful to me, and I must say I am grateful for it.
