For over four years our family of three have relied entirely upon the teachings of Christian Science, and have found that it meets our every need. At the time we took up the study of Christian Science, we were much discouraged about our son's health. He was a very nervous boy, sick most of the time, and could not enjoy life as other children do. The physician attending him was considered the best to be had, specializing in the treatment of children; but the time came when he confessed he could not help our child.

We decided as a last resort to send the child to the seashore, thinking a change of air and scene might help. His father took him; I did not accompany them, as it was part of our plan of change to have him away from me for a while. The lady who owned the house where my husband and our boy stopped was a Christian Science practitioner; and after being there three days, my husband requested Christian Science treatment for our son. The practitioner had been treating him only a few days when a decided improvement was perceptible. He had been rising in the morning very irritable and disagreeable. The first noticeable change was the overcoming of this, as he awakened happy, whistling and singing. This demonstration of the truth proved to be the beginning of the many blessings which we have received since that time. We have all had many healings; but what I am most grateful for is the understanding our child has of this great truth, and that he can apply it to his every need.

About three years ago it became necessary for our child to attend a different school. He found after entering that the work was a year in advance of that which he had been doing, and that unless he could do it he would be placed in a lower grade. It did seem just about impossible for him to accomplish this task; and he came home one day thoroughly discouraged. The next morning when he started for school a practitioner was asked to help the boy, and I gave him as many helpful thoughts as I could. He came home at noon smiling and happy, for he had found he could do all that was given him to do. Later he made up all the work necessary, and he has been promoted each year since, with a high average.
