Rev. M. E. Dodd said that spiritual power that comes from prayer is one of the silent forces of God's nature and grace. Powerful praying is not in the energy of the flesh, but in the regnancy of Spirit. . . . Power belongs unto God. . . . The prayers of Jesus were powerful because they were utterly unselfish. . . . Jesus took plenty of time in private prayer. His public prayers were very brief. But in private prayer he often spent the whole night. One will never know the reality and power of prayer until he has spent a whole night wrestling with the angel of God.
