Christian Science is the Science of divine healing, because it looks to God, the supreme intelligence, as the only Mind. The healings of Christian Science follow the understanding of God as ever present Love; and in proportion as the love of God is seen and trusted, the human mind gives up its fears and sins and sorrows, and ceases to suffer from old age, disease, discouragement, and all the ills the "flesh is heir to." Thinking you are not troubled with such things is insufficient to heal the diseases that seem to terrible to mortals; but knowing that God did not make them, because divine Love could not torment His children, causes the sick to root out the wrong and fearful thinking which is at the base of all sickness. The Bible says that God is Life; so, as we see more of God, we see more of Life and less of death, and realize the statement of Scripture that to him who through pureness of heart sees God his "age shall be clearer than the noonday."
