"O magnify the Lord"

When David wrote, "O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together," he expressed a desire which is common to every worshipful heart. Not only do men love to dwell on the glories of the infinite One, but they long to have others unite with them in homage to the Most High. Wordsworth sang:—

We bow our head before thee, and we laud
And magnify Thy name, Almighty God.
