I first heard of Christian Science fifteen months ago. When the divine Principle was explained to me clearly, I felt as though heavy chains were falling from me and a wonderful shining light was about me. Numerous life-problems, which had seemed to grow more involved every day, were suddenly solved. I recognized the firm foundation of all existence to be God, divine Principle, and not an arbitrary power, as I had been inclined to believe. This recognition, for which I had long unconsciously yearned, gave me peace above everything else. Life, which had seemed so purposeless, became worth-while again. The immediate cause leading me to the recognition of Truth was a disappointment which seemed to deprive me of my faith in mankind. I withdrew from all my friends; and the solitude did me good. I felt I was being wonderfully led, through the teachings of Christian Science, to understand God as the only power, the only creator.

Some months ago I gave up the position of nurse, which I had filled in a Red Cross society for twelve years, because I recognized that medical science and Christian Science are incompatible. For the understanding of Christian Science and the many blessings that have come to me I can only say with the Psalmist, "Praise the Lord." Thanks, also, to the faithful, untiring seeker, Mrs. Eddy.
