I am very grateful that I was led to the study of Christian Science. It has changed my outlook on life entirely, showing me that the promises contained in the Bible are fulfilled here and now for us. We do not have to wait for either a far-off time or state to experience their fulfillment.

One very quick healing I had was that of a sprained ankle. Some years ago I slipped one night when going down a short flight of stairs to my room, spraining my ankle badly. I managed to get to my room, which was quite near, and then I lay down on my bed, took "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and read for some hours, realizing that God's child could not be hurt or prevented from doing God's work. The pain, which at first was intense, lessened, the swelling went down, and the next morning I was able to go downstairs as usual and do all my customary work, teaching and games. In the afternoon I took a bicycle ride with some children for a picnic, perfectly healed. I was very grateful for this experience of quick healing I had through applying the truth as taught in Christian Science, without which I know I should have had to rest for some time and should probably have felt pain for a long time.

I have had many other physical healings, and for all I am most grateful; but I am still more grateful for the wonderful sense of peace and joy I have gained, for the much better understanding of God and the real man, and for the wonderful light Mrs. Eddy's books have thrown on the Bible. I am deeply grateful for our Church Manual, for the whole organization which Mrs. Eddy labored so long and patiently to give us, and for the knowledge that this truth is available to all every moment of every day. I am also most grateful for the privilege of being able to take even a very small part in giving out this truth to the world, and thus helping humanity.
