Riverside, Ill. (First Church).—Members and friends of First Church of Christ, Scientist, are rejoicing in the completion of their new church edifice, on Long Common and Addison Roads. This church was organized in October, 1912, holding its first service in the Town Hall in November, where regular services have been held each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. The beautiful corner lot, upon which the new structure stands, was purchased in 1916; and in July, 1919, the members of the church met in special session to consider church building. A building committee was then appointed. The new structure, with its furnishings and grounds, represents an expenditure of some ninety thousand dollars, and is beautiful in architectural design. A pipe organ will be installed in the near future. The seating capacity is four hundred, with expansion possibilities of five hundred.—Riverside News.
