With a heart full of gratitude I wish to relate a healing which I experienced.

Some one had presented us with a plant which, according to many people, is supposed to be poisonous. I was very fond of the flower, and cared for it with love. The thought of its being poisonous was far removed from me. A sister of mine had once been brought to the point of death by such a flower, and I myself had formerly had similar experiences; nevertheless, it never occurred to me this time that I should not touch the flower. Whether I entertained some fear, or whether the general belief in poison affected me, I do not know. In any case, I became very sick; had chills and fever; and my face, arms, and especially my hands were covered with blood blisters. I was not able to lift even a spoon to my mouth. I am seventy-nine years old, but have seen that age is no hindrance to God's power; for with the help of Christian Science and a dear practitioner, we were able to overcome this poisoning. A very painful attack of sciatica and a severe case of catarrh in the lungs had previously been overcome through absent treatment. The healing was slow; but in the end error had to yield.

I should like to exclaim, "Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations"! May all those who read this take courage for the future.
