It is with great pleasure that I give my testimony, hoping it may be of benefit to some one in need. About seventeen years ago, I was led to try Christian Science for an illness which physicians claimed was chronic stomach trouble, and from which I had suffered since childhood. They said it could not be cured. I had to live on malted milk and cereals, and had become so discouraged that I was as willing to die as to live, for I was no comfort to myself or to any one else. I was also afflicted with nervous trouble. A friend who had been instantaneously healed of appendicitis led me to try Christian Science; and I was healed in two weeks, for which I am very grateful.
Soon after this a cough, which had troubled me since I was a child, manifested itself again. A number of physicians had treated me. One said one lung was affected; another, that I could not live six months; and another, that I should have to try a change of climate. The healing through Christian Science treatment was slow, but complete. Another time, a case of blood poisoning in my hand was healed in about a week. I was also healed of grippe almost instantaneously, by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
The Bible and Science and Health, with Mrs. Eddy's other writings, have been my only physician and guide all these years. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to Christian Science, and also to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, not only for the physical healing, but for the spiritual understanding and the uplift of thought that I have gained through the study of Christian Science.
