The Christian religion, as taught and demonstrated by...
New Haven Union
The Christian religion, as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus, is as practical to-day as it was when, according to the New Testament, the Master healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, and repeatedly proved the availability of the protecting and sustaining power of God, divine Love. Through Christian Science many have been healed of sickness, and many others have been freed from false beliefs and sinful habits which had resulted in financial lack. For deliverance from sin, disease, and lack Christian Scientists are grateful. But to believe that Christian Science is merely a method by which the sick can obtain physical health and the poor may obtain material wealth is to misunderstand completely the nature of this religion. Christian Scientists are seeking "the kingdom of God, and his righteousness," not for the loaves and fishes, but because they have learned that the eternal realities of Spirit alone are really worth seeking.
