That this testimony may help some one, as many of the testimonies have helped me, is my sincere desire.

The healing which really showed me the efficacy of Truth was from that which physicians had pronounced quick consumption. One day our family doctor, thinking I could not live through the day, called five times to show his sympathy and solicitude for the family. At this time an aunt, who had been healed of curvature of the spine through Christian Science, asked my parents to secure the services of a practitioner for me. My mother had read some pamphlets and Sentinels, but did not know a practitioner, or where or how to secure one. Desiring, however, to see me well again, my parents after some inquiry learned that a friend who had moved from Michigan, where we resided, to Vermont, was a practitioner. She was appealed to, and immediately my condition improved. To-day I am perfectly well, without a trace of any such disease; and it is now more than twenty years since I used medicine. In that time I have been healed of goiter and deafness. Financial worries, anger, resentment, and pride have been overcome in some degree also.

I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy as the revelator of Truth, who through the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," has made the Bible more clear to me. I am grateful for the Christian Science literature, the church services, the lectures, and for class instruction. Every channel which has been provided to disseminate the truth has been a means of healing to me. Once, upon attending a Christian Science lecture, I was healed of car sickness. Deafness was overcome by reading Science and Health. I have gone to Wednesday evening meetings with a great sense of fatigue, and come away feeling rested and happy. An understanding of God and man has been gained through class instruction, which has been a benefit not only to me but to others. The clean journalism and accurate information received through The Christian Science Monitor have enabled me to speak with authority on subjects which pertain to affairs of the world; and as a teacher in the public schools I feel that these helps are invaluable.
