It is difficult to find words to express the gratitude...

It is difficult to find words to express the gratitude which every one must feel who has enjoyed the benefits of Christian Science. Since gaining a slight knowledge of this great truth, I have been much relieved of fear, especially fear of lack. I am learning that our supply in every direction is wholly spiritual, that what we need are loving, true, right thoughts; and infinite Mind surely feeds and clothes us with His spiritual ideas. I am also grateful to be learning that mortal thought is never the truth about man,—never real,—and that God's love alone fills all space.

My two children have had nothing when ill but Christian Science treatment, and are strong, healthy boys. Many minor troubles and accidents have been quickly and beautifully healed. One of my boys, when a year and a half old, had the end of a finger cut almost completely off by getting it caught in a door. The sense-testimony was alarming, evidencing severe pain. We called for a Christian Science practitioner's help at once; and it was wonderful to see the agonized crying cease instantly. All sense of pain vanished, and the child lay quiet. The healing was accomplished in a short time.

For this and many other healings in our family I am grateful beyond words. I am glad for every seemingly hard experience, for each has forced us to give up some false sense of self. Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 390), "Truth will at length compel us all to exchange the pleasures and pains of sense for the joys of Soul." I feel deep thanks for Mrs. Eddy's marvelous example and the revelation of Truth; for every activity in the Christian Science movement; and for the patient, steadfast love and charity of the practitioners.
