While in the navy I received an inoculation which had the effect of making me very nervous. After medical care had been given me in the camp, I was sent to a hospital, where the best of attention failed to improve my condition. About this time a loving Christian Science practitioner was asked to give me absent treatment. I went to bed one night full of darkness and despair. Next morning I arose full of hope and clear of mind. The doctors were astounded and knew not how the cure has been so quickly brought about. Since then I have enjoyed perfect health, for which I am very grateful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, to the loving practitioner, and to my faithful mother. Not only was I cured of nervousness, but also of stomach trouble and of eczema; and, most important of all, a change of thought brought me the rejoicing "that we are subject to the divine 'powers that be,'" as our Leader says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 249).—Spencer Pantke, Milwaukee, Wis.
