God is the one cause and creator, the sole basis or source...

Daily News,

God is the one cause and creator, the sole basis or source of all that is true and real; the one law-giving and law-governing divine Principle of all. This divine Principle is not, however, cold, distant, and unfeeling, for God is also Love, infinite Mind, unchanging good, as the Bible teaches. It is interesting and appealing to those bound by sin, sickness, fear, or any other form of evil belief, that Christian Science offers them something more hopeful and satisfying than platitudinous preachments, with promises of a problematic post-mortem release, and a far-off, fanciful heaven. Consistently with the Scriptural premise of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, good, Christian Science posits, and is proving to an encouraging degree, and in an indisputable manner, that sin, sickness, and all evil are unreal in the sight of the one creator, who, as the Bible states, is "of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity." That the unreality of these evils can be realized by men is shown in the healings wrought by Christian Science. In this connection the appeal of Christian Science to our sense of reason and justice is evidenced by these words from page 495 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy: "If sickness is true or the idea of Truth, you cannot destroy sickness, and it would be absurd to try. Then classify sickness and error as our Master did, when he spoke of the sick, 'whom Satan hath bound,' and find a sovereign antidote for error in the life-giving power of Truth acting on human belief, a power which opens the prison doors to such as are bound, and sets the captive free physically and morally." Instead of denying the divinity of Christ, as was claimed, Christian Science acknowledges it.

Christian Science accepts and explains reasonably the immaculate conception of Jesus. Following the Master's word, Christian Science teaches that heaven is not a place, but a state of spiritual consciousness. The quotation from Timothy about "science falsely so called" is a favorite one with Christian Scientists, because it indicates clearly Paul's recognition that there is true Science, which must, of course, be the exact, provable knowledge of God and His law, knowledge which was possessed by Christ Jesus, and which, as he promised, is for all who would "know the truth."
