I wish to express my gratitude for a recent healing of appendicitis. In the middle of the night I was awakened with severe pains in the abdomen. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and help asked for. For two days I suffered intensely; then the pain gradually subsided. In five days, I resumed my usual duties; but soon found Iwas not completely healed, as I seemed to be in pain continually. For ten days matters went on in this way, and then I was smitten with another attack much more severe than the first. My condition was very grave indeed for a few days, and the symptoms seemed serious. Under medical treatment I feel an operation would have been deemed necessary, but through the understanding which Christian Science reveals of perfect Principle, God, and of man as His image and likeness, having dominion over all things, I was restored to a more comfortable condition; and in about ten days I was able to resume my work. I grew steadily stronger, and in about another week was entirely well.

I am grateful for Christian Science; for an increased appreciation of God's loving care, and a greater desire to live closer to divine Principle.
