I have known of Christian Science for almost four years, and with the deepest gratitude and a glad heart I testify that as time has gone on I have more and more experienced the great truths and the wonderful saving power of this teaching. Not alone are the physical healings a proof of the omnipotence and love of God, but the understanding and application of this teaching also give us a wonderful sense of freedom and of security in God.

Physical affliction and suffering, which would not yield to any medical treatment, at last led my family to Christian Science, where we received loving help. At the first reading of the Christian Science literature the clear logic expressed therein appealed to me. And when, later on, I penetrated more deeply into this teaching by studying the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I received a reply to all my questions and doubts; and I was filled with a great peace'. That which no other teaching of church, sect, or philosophy had ever been able to give me, I found in Christian Science, namely, a living, healing, good God, who does not know evil, who is divine Principle, who is no longer unknowable, and who does not punish, is not angry, and does not condemn. I was soon able to experience for myself this healing Love.

For years I had been a sufferer from severe rheumatism, which would not yield to medical treatment, massage, or other supposed cures. On the countrary, the trouble grew steadily worse. Finally, the pain in all the joints was so severe that I feared I should not be able to use them again. I then turned to Christian Science; and, thanks to the loving help of a practitioner, I was healed through the divine All-power. From then on I turned to this best of all remedies in all my troubles; and whenever fear or doubt would arise, and pain make itself felt, I was always comforted by the divine saying, "Fear not: believe only." It encouraged me to persevere until the fear had been overcome, the divine power manifested, and I had received the healing.
