Christ Jesus said, "These signs shall follow them that believe; . . . they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." The healing of all kinds of physical disease by Christian Science is wrought by means of a demonstrable spiritual understanding of divine or spiritual law. This understanding is obtained by, as Paul says, letting "this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." The work is properly, therefore, classed as Christian; and more particularly so, as it is morally reformative, as well as physically healing. It is scientific, because it is based on "knowledge reduced to a system," the true and correct statement of this Science being contained in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Christian Science is the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus; and it is, in fact, healing and comforting thousands of suffering and sorrowing humanity.
