I have often wanted to tell of my healing through Christian Science, as it may reach some one who is in darkness, as I was in 1911. I had never been strong, and for a year had been under the doctor's constant care; but finally collapsed with nervousness. The doctor said my children, both small, must be sent away from home. I must have absolute quietness for a few days so that I could be moved to a sanitarium, where I must remain until strong enough to undergo an operation for ovarian trouble of long standing, also appendicitis.

I was bitterly opposed to an operation, believing I should never live through one, and was not willing to leave my children. I consented to have them taken away for a few days. The next day, while I was thinking quietly what help I could get without an operation, a cousin telephoned that she was coming out to bring me something that would cure me. When she came she brought several copies of the Christian Science Sentinel that had been given her by a friend, who had told her of some wonderful healings through Christian Science. I did not think of getting a practitioner, as I was just told to read. I read and reread the Sentinels; and the next day I was up and doing my work about the house. The third day I went to the train to meet the children. This was Saturday. On Sunday morning I took them to the Christian Science Sunday School, and remained for the church service. I soon bought "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to study the Bible Lessons. I continued to grow better each day; and in one month I was strong and well. I have never had a return of the old trouble.

I am so grateful for our Sunday schools and the dear teachers, who give out so much light; also to the loving practitioners. I am grateful, too, for our literature; and especially grateful to God for giving us our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and for her untiring efforts in giving this great truth to the world.
