Santa Ana, Calif. (First Church).—First Church of Christ, Scientist, will be erected on the corner of North Main and Tenth Streets. The lot has a frontage of one hundred and twenty-five feet on North Main Street, and extends through to Sycamore Street. The building will be one hundred feet by one hundred and forty-five feet; and the exterior will be finished in white stucco. The main auditorium will be octagonal in shape. Around this will be built the Sunday school classrooms, foyers, and other rooms. These rooms will surround the main auditorium, and will prevent noise from traffic entering the main auditorium. The auditorium proper will have a seating capacity of six hundred, and an additional seating capacity of like number can be had by opening the balcony and Sunday school rooms. The great oak tree that stands on this lot, and which has been a landmark for many years, will be left standing. First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Santa Ana, was organized but a few years ago with a small membership.
