I desire to testify to the blessings which have come into my life as a result of the study of Christian Science. My attention was first attracted to it by the benefits received by my sister. My wife and I began to study the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the Lesson-Sermons, and at once commenced to derive benefit therefrom. After I had been studying for about eighteen months, I was called upon to pass through a very trying experience in business, and this brought upon me a nervous trouble from which I had previously suffered. This complaint was supposed to be hereditary in my family, and the attack in question seemed almost irresistible. I was indeed in the depths of despair. At this crisis, I was led to ask the help of a loving and faithful Christian Science practitioner. With great patience, he pointed out to me that I had not been applying what I had been studying, and taught me how to apply it. When I began to do so, and to work in Science with him, the healing came, complete and beautiful; and I have ever since been in better health than before that time.

While I am truly grateful for improved health, I am more thankful for the better understanding of life that this study has brought to me, as well as for the better spiritual insight and knowledge of God. Many things in the Bible that were very obscure to me when I was a member of a denominational church have been cleared up. I am also grateful for the help that this Science has been to me in my business, particularly for the truth that there is only one Mind, which always tends to clear away disputes and differences. I am grateful for membership in a local Christian Science society and in The Mother Church, also for class instruction, and most grateful that our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, stood firm and unflinching against the tides of evil and gave us this wonderful truth.
