[Written for the Sentinel]

Thanksgiving

Oh, lift thy voice to God in praiseFor starlit nights and radiant days,For harvest fields with bounty spread—Earth's symbol of "our daily bread."

In gratitude for blessings given,Uplift thy thought, and know that heav'nSurrounds thee with its harmonyOf perfect love, protecting theeFrom bondage to all earthly fear;Thy Father-Mother God is nearTo guard and guide thee, day by day,If thou art willing to obey.
