I am so grateful for what Christian Science has done for me, especially for the wonderful spiritual uplift. I did not take it up for physical healing, but because I had begun to think there was nothing beyond this seeming material life. I was very unhappy, as I had nothing to look forward to; and it seemed to me life was not worth the struggle, when death might so soon end it all. When, in 1909, my father passed on, I was so depressed I could scarcely get myself together again.

Five years later I began studying the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. It was quite a while before I could see that Christian Science was a demonstrable religion; but gradually it began to dawn on my thought that it was something to be used here and now. One of the first physical healings was of a sore place on my back, which had persistently refused to heal. I had a great fear of cancer, as several in our family had passed on with it. Finally, I called a Christian Science practitioner; and in four treatments the fear and the sore place were healed. Since then I have had many demonstrations of God's loving care. I use Christian Science in my business every day, and am able to do as much as I did ten years ago with less fatigue, because I know my strength comes from God.—(Mrs.) Nona J. Hardin, Pueblo, Colo.
